Dr. Hani Goma, Deputy Minister of Health in Beni Suef, announced the launch of specialized clinics to combat obesity within primary healthcare units across the governorate. This initiative is part of the Ministry of Health’s plan to address non-communicable diseases and improve citizens’ health indicators in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030. Seven clinics have been established in various centers including Tazment Al-Sharqiya, Mayana, Kom Abu Khalad, Atf Afouh, Dashtout, Aqfahs, and Al-Baranga. These clinics offer comprehensive examinations, body mass index measurements, nutritional consultations, and individualized treatment programs supervised by trained medical teams. The clinics also aim to raise community awareness about obesity risks, healthy nutrition, and physical activity through educational campaigns and cooperation with civil society organizations. The Beni Suef Health Directorate prioritizes developing health and preventive services and expanding beneficiaries of presidential initiatives to enhance Egyptian citizens’ health, with ongoing field monitoring to ensure the best possible service.
