The President of the Arab Parliament, Mohamed Al-Yamahi, condemned the Israeli occupation’s escalation of the genocidal war and horrific massacres against Palestinian civilians, including the systematic targeting of journalists, medical, and relief teams in the Gaza Strip. He also denounced the deliberate starvation policy that has claimed many innocent lives, warning that continued escalation will lead to increased tension and threaten international security and peace.
Al-Yamahi stated in a Monday evening statement that the massacres committed by the occupation in the Nasser Medical Complex, broadcast live to the world, constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity. He pointed out that the occupation not only carries out brutal bombings but also enforces immediate extermination policies through massacres and slow extermination by blocking food, medicine, and humanitarian aid, spreading famine in one of the most heinous crimes of the modern era, condemning the silence of the international community.
The Arab Parliament President called on the United Nations, the European Union, the International Federation of Journalists, and the International Committee of the Red Cross to assume their legal and moral responsibilities, pressure the occupation to stop the escalation, end the war, enforce a ceasefire, and enter a truce deal. He emphasized that continued silence is a disgrace to humanity.
Al-Yamahi also called for the immediate suspension of the occupation from all international organizations and unions, considering it violates the principles of the international system and disregards all international laws. This requires imposing comprehensive and urgent economic, political, and military sanctions on the occupation leaders. He also demanded urgent action by the International Criminal Court regarding these crimes, which fall under the genocide file, and to prosecute those responsible as war criminals.
