Major General Ashraf El-Gendy, Governor of Gharbia, announced the highest state of readiness across all centers, local units, and service directorates in preparation for the Senate runoff elections 2025, scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, August 27 and 28. He confirmed the completion of logistical, organizational, and security preparations to receive voters inside 654 electoral committees across the governorate. The governor emphasized providing a safe and organized electoral environment, reviewing all details inside and around polling stations, ensuring full lighting and alternative power sources, securing entrances and exits, and continuous water supply. Necessary furniture for committee heads and members was provided, along with ready accommodations for supervising judges and armed forces personnel assigned for security. Wheelchairs were prepared for the elderly and people with special needs, and shelters and waiting areas were established in front of polling stations to ease citizens amid high temperatures.

Health readiness was also raised with all hospitals and health units on alert, equipped ambulances near polling stations for immediate response, and operation rooms linked to the National Emergency and Public Safety Network control center for 24/7 monitoring. Governor El-Gendy confirmed the completion of preparations and his ongoing follow-up during election days, stressing the goal of a safe and honorable electoral process befitting Gharbia and its people.
