Mohamed bin Ahmed Al-Yemahi, President of the Arab Parliament, condemned the Israeli occupation’s escalation of the genocide war and horrific massacres committed against Palestinian civilians. He denounced the systematic targeting of journalists, medical, and relief teams in the Gaza Strip, alongside the deliberate starvation crime that has claimed many innocent civilian lives.
He warned that continuing this escalation will lead to increased tension and threaten international security and peace.
Al-Yemahi stated that the massacres committed today by the occupation at the Nasser Medical Complex in Gaza, broadcast live to the world, constitute fully-fledged war crimes and crimes against humanity. He pointed out that the occupation does not limit itself to brutal bombardment but applies immediate extermination policies through massacres and slow extermination by preventing food, medicine, humanitarian aid, and spreading famine, describing it as one of the most heinous crimes of the modern era, condemning the silence of the international community.
The Arab Parliament President called on the United Nations, the European Union, the International Federation of Journalists, and the International Committee of the Red Cross to bear their legal and moral responsibilities, pressure the occupation to stop the escalation, end the war, enforce a ceasefire, and enter into a truce deal. He affirmed that continued silence is a stain on humanity.
He also called for the immediate freezing of the occupation entity by all international organizations and unions, considering it violates the principles of the international system and disregards all international laws. This requires imposing comprehensive and urgent economic, political, and military sanctions on the occupation leaders. At the same time, he demanded urgent action from the International Criminal Court regarding these crimes, which fall under the genocide file, and to prosecute those responsible as war criminals.
