Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization, confirmed that repeated Israeli attacks on hospitals in Gaza are making it increasingly difficult for civilians to access the already limited healthcare services. This statement came in a post on the American platform “X” on Monday, commenting on the Israeli attack on Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza Strip. Ghebreyesus said, “While people are dying of hunger in Gaza, their limited access to health services becomes even more difficult with repeated attacks.” Reports indicate that at least 20 people were killed, including four healthcare workers and five journalists, in the attack on Nasser Hospital on Monday morning. He also noted that 50 people were injured, including critically ill patients. The main hospital building housing the emergency room and surgical unit was damaged in the attack.

Earlier on Monday, 20 Palestinians were killed and others injured during an Israeli strike targeting a group of journalists, killing five of them in the emergency building of the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis city, southern Gaza Strip.
