According to the website “Abonet.de”, a plant-based diet reduces the risk of cancer, based on the results of a recent scientific study. The site, which is the official portal for German pharmacists, reported that a research team conducted a long-term study on nearly 80,000 people from North America between 2003 and 2007. Participants provided information about their diet through surveys and were cancer-free at the start of the study. Data analysis revealed a 45% reduction in stomach cancer risk among vegetarians, a 25% reduction in lymphoma risk, a 21% reduction in colorectal cancer risk, and an overall 12% reduction in the risk of all types of cancer.
