The U.S. Department of State announced on Saturday that it has begun suspending all visitor visas for individuals coming from the Gaza Strip. The decision was made after conducting a “full and comprehensive review of the process and procedures followed in recent days to issue a small number of temporary visas for medical and humanitarian purposes.” The U.S. visa issuance mechanism has been changing since President Donald Trump returned to power in January, according to Al Jazeera. This comes amid the ongoing genocide war waged by Israel on the Gaza Strip with U.S. support since October 7, 2023, according to Al Jazeera. The genocide war in Gaza has resulted in about 62,000 martyrs and more than 150,000 injured, most of whom are women and children.
In addition to killing, Israel practices starvation, destruction, and forced displacement in Gaza, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop.
