Iraqi media personality and TV presenter Lana Al-Zahawi affirmed that the Saudi Media Forum, held annually in Riyadh, represents a leading media platform that brings together decision-makers, media professionals, and experts from across the Arab world and internationally to exchange expertise and discuss professional issues.

Al-Zahawi pointed out that the forum contributes to enhancing the status of Saudi media and highlighting its pivotal role regionally and internationally, reflecting the significant development witnessed by the media sector in the Kingdom.

She added that the relationship between modern technology and media is fundamental; no matter how advanced technology becomes, it cannot reach the audience without media that conveys the message and amplifies its impact. She explained that visual and audio media can utilize technology to spread culture and knowledge innovatively and diversely by producing attractive cultural and educational content accessible to various groups.

She also emphasized the media’s pivotal role in stimulating innovation and supporting entrepreneurship through platforms and programs like podcasts that host entrepreneurs, showcase their experiences, and provide the audience with practical insights on overcoming challenges and turning ideas into successes, alongside building a loyal audience, enhancing intellectual leadership, and increasing brand awareness.

Al-Zahawi highlighted the importance of building effective partnerships between media institutions and the private sector through producing purposeful content that serves societal issues and highlights companies’ contributions to community service. She cited examples such as cooperation between technology companies and media institutions to produce documentaries about digital transformation in education, or insurance companies collaborating to produce awareness series about the importance of insurance, which raises public awareness and allows companies to showcase their expertise.

She concluded by referring to her recent official participation in the Arab Media Forum held in Kuwait under the theme “Future Intelligence,” with the participation of Arab media ministers, senior officials, and a select group of media professionals and academics from across the Arab world, where she stressed the importance of investing in media for the benefit of society.
