Italian reports confirmed that Inter Milan rejected attempts from English Premier League clubs Chelsea and Newcastle United to sign their duo Alessandro Bastoni and Davide Frattesi during the current summer transfer window. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea was ready to offer around 50 million euros to sign the Italian international Bastoni, but Inter’s management firmly refused the offer, holding on to the defender who has played two Champions League finals. Similarly, Newcastle United showed interest in signing midfielder Frattesi, but the Italian club also rejected the offer, insisting the player stay for the third consecutive season at Giuseppe Meazza. Although Inter aims to raise between 30 and 35 million euros by selling Christian Asllani to Bologna and Nicola Zalewski to Atalanta, they have no intention of letting go of Bastoni or Frattesi.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that Frenchman Benjamin Pavard might be the most likely to leave the team if the club wants to sign a new defender this summer.
