MP Ashraf Abu Al-Nasr, Deputy Head of the Parliamentary Body in the Senate and Secretary of Development and Investor Communication at the Homeland Defenders Party, confirmed that Cairo’s success in coordination with Doha to reach a truce proposal in Gaza represents a new victory for Egyptian diplomacy that operates according to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s vision to protect Egyptian and Arab national security.

He explained that what was achieved was not spontaneous but the result of well-studied moves by the concerned authorities assigned by the President, noting that Egypt was able to convince Hamas to follow the proposed path despite the occupation’s attempts to portray the scene in a way that serves its plans.

He added that the proposal was not limited to stopping military operations but also opened the door to delivering aid and alleviating the suffering of the Gaza population, reflecting that Cairo manages the Palestinian file not only from a mediation perspective but as an integral part of its national responsibility towards regional stability.

He concluded by affirming that the Egyptian-Qatari proposal sends a clear message to the world that Egypt is capable of nullifying Israeli claims, affirming the rights of the Palestinian people, and will remain the cornerstone of any political path that ends aggression and guarantees Palestinians the right to live with dignity on their land.
