Rob Arlett, a member of the American Republican Party, stated that President Donald Trump places the Middle East peace issue at the forefront of his political priorities, emphasizing his pursuit of a ceasefire and a peace agreement through diplomatic channels. Arlett explained during an interview with journalist Amal Al-Hanawi on the program “Up Close with Amal Al-Hanawi” aired on Cairo News Channel, that Trump’s vision is based on direct negotiations and seeking peaceful solutions that ensure regional stability and protect the interests of all parties. He confirmed that this approach reflects the previous administration’s desire to establish security away from military escalation. The Republican politician pointed out a fundamental difference between Trump’s style and that of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, noting that Netanyahu does not rely on diplomacy in his peace efforts but focuses on imposing facts on the ground through military means and territorial expansion.

Arlett added that the disagreement between Trump and Netanyahu reflects differing visions on how to achieve peace in the region, affirming that Trump prefers dialogue and political agreements, while Netanyahu tends to use force as a primary option.
