On Thursday, several universities in the Kingdom organized diverse activities, events, and initiatives aimed at enhancing their educational journey, increasing student awareness, and developing their personalities. The German Jordanian University concluded the third edition of the “My Right to Learn” initiative with a distinguished closing ceremony under the patronage of the university president, Dr. Alaa Al-Din Al-Halhouli, attended by parents, supporting entities, interested parties, students, and volunteers. Dr. Al-Halhouli emphasized the university’s commitment to supporting educational and community programs that empower the next generation and enhance their capabilities in line with the royal vision. Meanwhile, Abdul Hakim Arabiat, Assistant President for Community Interaction and initiative official, highlighted the importance of volunteer work in strengthening social cohesion, noting the initiative aligns with sustainable development goals, especially goals three (good health and well-being), four (quality education), and eleven (sustainable cities and communities).
The official anthem of the initiative was launched for the first time, with lyrics by writer Haneen Maqdad, reflecting the spirit and humanitarian message of the initiative. The Faculty of Arts and Design at the Private Applied Science University, in cooperation with the Mental Health Department of Doctors Without Borders, organized a specialized training workshop titled “Thread of Hope” on the basics of sewing to empower and professionally rehabilitate war victims. The workshop targeted a group of patients receiving treatment within the organization’s programs from various nationalities to develop their practical skills, improve their quality of life, and enhance their economic independence. This initiative confirms the university and organization’s keenness to encourage cooperation in serving affected communities by linking therapeutic aspects with practical rehabilitation and economic empowerment.
In a new academic achievement reflecting its commitment to excellence and leadership, Jadara University announced today its ranking as 38th globally in the quality education indicator (goal four), coinciding with the start of the 2025 academic year. Dr. Shukri Al-Marashdeh, Chairman of the Board and General Director of the university, expressed pride in this global distinction, congratulating the university family and classification committee, affirming that this achievement is the result of a well-studied strategic effort aimed at enhancing education quality and raising the university’s global status. The university president, Prof. Dr. Habes Al-Zuboon, praised the support of the chairman of the board and the efforts of academic and administrative staff, especially the classification committee, which played a key role in achieving this distinction. The chairwoman of the global classification committee and university vice president, Prof. Dr.

This significant global progress indicates the quality of education offered by the university, ranking third locally among Jordanian public and private universities in the same indicator, enhancing its status as an academic institution contributing to sustainable development goals. The Economic Empowerment Camp activities concluded today at Beit Shabab Irbid within the 2025 Hussein Camps for Work and Construction under the slogan “Amman, the Capital of Arab Youth 2025,” in cooperation with the Jordan River Foundation. The camp, attended by 30 youths aged 18-24, aimed to enhance the economic capacities of youth through training, guidance, and directing their abilities towards entrepreneurship in the labor market, developing practical skills for graduates, and improving knowledge and skills for those with limited abilities.
