Tunisia strongly condemned today, Saturday, the Israeli occupying entity’s announcement of its malicious intentions to fully reoccupy the Gaza Strip, disperse its inhabitants, and confine them to a narrow part of the strip. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Tunisia considered this a blatant violation of all international laws and charters and a flagrant assault on the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination. It described it as a desperate attempt to liquidate their cause, break their will to defend their legitimate rights, and force them to abandon their land. The statement added that this plan represents a new chapter of the Israeli entity’s crimes and its disregard for the international community and the system of ethics and human values, which grows more atrocious and brutal day by day.
Tunisia called on all global powers, the international will, and especially the UN Security Council to take a decisive stance regarding the future of the world, justice, and human rights, and to fulfill their duty in stopping the genocide crimes against the Palestinian people and providing the necessary protection for them. Tunisia reiterated its unconditional support for the brotherly Palestinian people in their struggles to recover their legitimate, inalienable rights that do not expire with time, and its firm stance supporting the Palestinian people in determining their destiny and establishing their independent and fully sovereign state over the entire land of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital. The Israeli Security Cabinet approved yesterday, Friday, a plan to control Gaza City, according to a statement issued by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office.
