The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, in cooperation with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, Emirates Health Services, the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority, and the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi, launched domestic workers services within the “Work Package”. This aligns with the government’s approach to eliminate bureaucracy, enhance customer experience, improve government efficiency, and boost the UAE’s competitiveness and attractiveness as a global ideal destination for living and working.

The new service enables the issuance, renewal, and cancellation of domestic workers’ residencies in the country, along with medical examination services.

Residency services for domestic workers can be easily obtained by filling out the unified service package form, entering the domestic worker’s details, type of ID, and passport. The employment contract is electronically signed via the platform, followed by the worker’s medical examination, with results sent through the platform, and issuance of the UAE ID and residency.

Khalil Ibrahim Al Khouri, Undersecretary for Labor Market Operations and Emiratisation, confirmed that the integration of roles among partners to expand the “Work Package” to include domestic workers services meets the requirements of the Bureaucracy Elimination Program, responding to the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.

He said the launch of the new services complements the results achieved through the earlier launch of domestic workers services within the “Invest in Dubai” and “Dubai Now” packages, confirming that the UAE is confidently advancing to consolidate its global leadership in providing integrated government services that meet customer expectations.

Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, noted that the Work Package represents a pioneering model of integration between government entities, facilitating the customer journey and enabling them to obtain fast, comfortable, and secure services.

He explained that reducing the channels to access the service contributes to improving community quality of life and supports individual well-being, achieving the goals of the Bureaucracy Elimination Program adopted by the federal government based on wise leadership directives. This reduces time and effort for customers, raises their happiness levels, and helps redirect their human and material resources to other aspects that enhance their quality of life, in addition to lowering government burdens associated with providing such services.

He said adding domestic workers services to the “Work Package” serves a large segment of citizens and residents, enabling them to complete their transactions through a single platform with simple procedures that preserve all rights. He praised the efforts made to achieve electronic linking between the concerned government entities and the cooperation and coordination among them to complete this pioneering platform.

The “Work Package” is a unique pioneering experience, providing integrated digital capabilities to manage worker services in the UAE through a seamless user experience represented by a unified request, form, and payment mechanism shared by the concerned entities, the feature of requesting information once, eliminating visits to complete transactions, and reducing attachments, based on data exchange between the concerned entities through unified linking mechanisms, enabling it to provide proactive services to customers by leveraging government enablers (GSB, UAE PASS).
