The Abu Dhabi Customs General Administration is participating within the Abu Dhabi Government pavilion at the 45th edition of GITEX Global 2025, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 13 to 17. It is showcasing its key technological projects and launching its latest innovative solutions based on artificial intelligence, aiming to enhance the efficiency of the customs work system and achieve global leadership.

Abu Dhabi Customs is presenting the Smart Customs Translator project, which was fully developed internally under the leadership, supervision, and participation of promising Emirati minds. It is an interactive platform supported by AI technologies designed to facilitate real-time communication of customs dialogues and procedures between customs employees and clients of various nationalities in more than 90 languages, by integrating voice translation, text translation, and sign language into a unified and secure platform that ensures communication accuracy and confidentiality.

The smart translator helps reduce the time required for procedures and avoid errors caused by language barriers, thereby improving the quality of the client experience and enhancing the efficiency of customs services at border crossings.

Mohamed Hussein Al Balushi, Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing at Abu Dhabi Customs, said, “Abu Dhabi Customs’ participation in GITEX Global 2025 within the Abu Dhabi Government pavilion stems from its keenness to enhance the role of innovation and modern technology in developing customs work and providing smart services that support government directions and drive excellence and leadership in the customs sector locally and internationally.”

He pointed out that GITEX is an ideal platform for exchanging ideas, opening wider horizons to enhance partnerships, anticipating the future, and exploring the latest technological advancements to benefit from them in improving operational efficiency, contributing to Abu Dhabi Government’s aspirations to build an advanced knowledge economy.
