Zelensky said, “We are working on this matter. I am waiting for the president’s decision. Yes, of course, we rely on such decisions, but we will see.”
Earlier today, Zelensky announced he had a second phone call within two days with the US president, during which they discussed strengthening Ukraine’s air defense among other topics.
Last Monday, Trump stated that he had “somewhat made a decision” regarding the sale of “Tomahawk” missiles to NATO countries to supply Ukraine, noting that he wants to know Ukraine’s plans for using these missiles before approving their delivery, according to Axios.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that Kyiv’s use of “Tomahawk” missiles would damage Russian-American relations.
Putin pointed out that using these missiles in Ukraine would be impossible without direct involvement of American military personnel.
