The Second Terrorism Circuit, convening in Badr under the presidency of Judge Wagdy Abdel Moneim, is today hearing the trial of 54 defendants in case number 14255 of 2024, Criminal Court of Nasr City First Department, in the case known as the Administrative Structure of the Muslim Brotherhood in Nasr City.

The referral order stated that during the period from 2013 until November 14, 2023, in the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, and others in the Arab Republic of Egypt, the defendants from the first to the seventh took over the leadership of a terrorist group whose purpose was to call for disrupting public order and endangering the safety and security of society, by assuming the administrative structure of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The defendants from the second to the last were charged with joining a terrorist group, knowing its purposes and means to achieve those purposes. Defendants five, six, and those from twenty-four to twenty-seven were charged with financing terrorism by providing the group with funds, knowing they would be used to commit terrorist crimes.
