MP Sameh Saleh, member of the Senate, confirmed that the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, held tomorrow Monday under the joint chairmanship of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his American counterpart Donald Trump, with wide participation from world leaders, represents a historic turning point in the international efforts to stop the war in Gaza, and a new embodiment of Egypt’s position as the “political heart of the Middle East.”

Saleh said that Egypt hosting this international event in Sharm El-Sheikh is not a coincidence but a result of international trust in the Egyptian state’s ability to manage crises and unify positions, affirming that Cairo moves with a steady vision aimed at stopping the Palestinian bloodshed and restoring peace to the region.

He added that the attendance of this large number of world leaders, including the presidents of the United States, France, Britain, Italy, and Spain, reflects that the world now realizes that the path to a solution passes through Cairo, and that Egypt holds the keys to dialogue and pathways to calm that balance the security of peoples and their rights to life and dignity.

The Senate member stressed that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi leads a national and global humanitarian movement to end the war, rebuild, and open a new chapter of regional security, pointing out that “Egypt does not speak only the language of power, but the language of human conscience that preserves the region’s balance and stability.”

He pointed out that tomorrow’s Sharm El-Sheikh summit is not just a diplomatic meeting, but a decisive moment in which Egypt writes a new chapter in the region’s history, when the guns fell silent and Cairo spoke in the name of peace.
