Al-Mushaiti added, during the opening of the 8th Cairo Water Week, that this progress comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s adoption of global practices based on an innovation approach.
He pointed out that the United Nations praised the Saudi experience in the water sector, describing it as a global model to be emulated in achieving the sixth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Saudi Deputy Minister of Water said this progress confirms that the availability of willpower and clear vision, along with international cooperation, exchange of expertise, and application of best practices and experts, can achieve sustainable transformation, prosperity, and well-being for all peoples.
Engineer Al-Mushaiti added that Saudi Arabia continues its efforts with everyone through investing in modern and smart technologies, including green technologies and innovation.
He indicated that the Kingdom works on activating discussion platforms, having initiated a platform to discuss water issues within the G20 in 2020, and continues these efforts believing in the importance of integrated work.
Al-Mushaiti invited attendees to join the 11th World Water Forum in Riyadh in 2026, which the Kingdom organizes in partnership with the World Water Council.
