The General Commissioner of the Supreme Commission for Tribal Affairs, Akef Al-Masri, today issued an urgent and strong appeal to the international community, affirming that the scale of destruction and the humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip will exceed all expectations once the occupation forces withdraw and the true situation on the ground is revealed.
Al-Masri stated: “What the world is currently witnessing is just the tip of the iceberg. The real disaster in Gaza has not yet been fully revealed, and the entire world will be shocked when they see the massive and devastating destruction left by the occupation, including the systematic destruction of infrastructure, health facilities, homes, and the fabric of human and social life.”
In light of this appeal, the General Commissioner of the Tribal Affairs Commission issued an urgent and explicit call to all global news agencies, media institutions, and international humanitarian and human rights organizations to immediately visit the Gaza Strip after any withdrawal, to directly and impartially observe the depth of the unprecedented humanitarian disaster committed by the Israeli occupation against our people.
Al-Masri added: “We call on every person with a living conscience and a free camera to come and convey the truth as it is, without embellishment. This is a moral and humanitarian responsibility. The world must see with its own eyes the destruction that has affected everything, which amounts to documented and exposed war crimes.”
The General Commissioner emphasized that the Palestinian tribes will work with all their might, in coordination with all parties, to contribute to relief efforts, clearing debris, and starting the reconstruction of what can be saved, while stressing the urgent and unconditional need for international support to confront this humanitarian disaster threatening the lives of hundreds of thousands of Gaza’s residents.
