The political advisor to the Iranian Supreme Leader, Ali Shamkhani, announced that no evidence has been found of any “foreign involvement” related to the killing of the late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.

Ali Shamkhani said today (Sunday): “Until the last moment, the General Command of the Armed Forces and the investigation committees confirmed that nothing happened during the late President Ebrahim Raisi’s trip.”

He pointed out that after the 12-day war with Israel, questions increased about whether Raisi’s assassination was linked to Israel.

Shamkhani added that “based on the technical capabilities of the investigators, no evidence of foreign involvement in Raisi’s killing was found, but it is possible that these events are beyond our technical capabilities.”

The final Iranian investigation into the helicopter crash that killed President Ebrahim Raisi in May 2024 was released on September 1, 2024, attributing the cause of the accident to “bad weather conditions.”

It is noted that the late Iranian president’s helicopter crashed on a fog-covered mountainside in East Azerbaijan Province in northeastern Iran, resulting in the death of the president and seven others.

The official Iranian broadcasting authority (IRIB), quoting the special committee investigating the incident’s dimensions and causes, stated that the main cause of the helicopter crash was “the complex climatic and weather conditions in the region during spring.”

The report added that the sudden appearance of a dense fog bank caused the helicopter to collide with the mountain.
