A specialized source at the Rafah land crossing confirmed that the aid trucks that entered today, Sunday, towards the Kerem Abu Salem crossing to be delivered to the Gaza Strip included, for the first time since last March, cooking gas trucks.
The source pointed out the entry of 5 tanker trucks filled with cooking gas, which will help alleviate the gas shortage crisis in the Gaza Strip.
He revealed the entry of 6 tanker trucks filled with diesel necessary to operate hospital generators.
A source at Rafah crossing explained that the number of trucks that entered from the Rafah land crossing to the Kerem Abu Salem crossing since July 27 until last Thursday reached 6,919 relief and humanitarian aid trucks to assist the people of the Gaza Strip.
The source indicated that the trucks carried about 52,000 tons of humanitarian and relief aid, noting that the total fuel trucks entered into Gaza since that date amounted to only 35 trucks carrying more than 1,000 tons of diesel necessary to operate hospitals.
According to a previous statistic, since October 7, 2023, 37,412 various aid trucks have been delivered through the Rafah land crossing, along with 28,584 tons of gas, 60,345 tons of diesel, and 1,266 tons of gasoline, before the suspension of humanitarian aid entry to Gaza from the Egyptian side on March 27 last year.
