The Ministry of Parliamentary, Legal Affairs and Political Communication issued a statement today, Sunday, noting the issuance of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s decision No. 575 of 2025 appointing one hundred members to the Senate, in accordance with the Egyptian constitution and Law No. 141 of 2020 issuing the Senate Law.

The Ministry stated that the list of appointees to the Senate witnessed diversity in expertise and specializations, enhancing the nature of parliamentary work which requires various experiences, enriching political life in Egypt, and adding value to the House of Wisdom, making the appointees a strong and rich addition to their elected colleagues, aiming for a strong and balanced performance befitting the prestige of the Egyptian Senate.

Advisor Mahmoud Fawzi, Minister of Parliamentary, Legal Affairs and Political Communication, congratulated the Senate appointees on the trust placed in them by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, expressing the government’s aspiration for close cooperation with the House of Wisdom, which always provides deep insights and studies enriching the legislative process.

Advisor Mahmoud Fawzi emphasized that the President’s selections for the appointees reflect his keenness to enrich the legislative work in the Senate and enhance its role with prominent and experienced names in their respective fields and specializations, following the election of 200 Senate members who are experienced, wise, and knowledgeable, in a way that benefits the overall performance of the Senate in its second legislative session.
