Reuters reported on Sunday night that three Qatari diplomats died in a car accident in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh.
The agency quoted two security sources saying that three Qatari diplomats died in an accident in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.
Injured individuals were taken to the hospital to receive necessary medical care, while Egyptian authorities have begun investigating the circumstances of the accident.
It is unclear whether the diplomats were members of the Qatari negotiation team that helped, along with Egyptian officials in Sharm El-Sheikh, to reach an agreement between Israel and Hamas last week.
The city of Sharm El-Sheikh is hosting an international summit on Monday to finalize an agreement aimed at ending the war in the Gaza Strip.
Information indicates that the summit will see the attendance of 25 leaders, presidents, and representatives of international and regional organizations, expected to arrive starting Sunday.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and U.S. President Donald Trump will hold a bilateral summit, alongside their joint chairing of the international peace summit.
