During his tour to inspect development projects in Qalyubia Governorate, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly visited Benha Private University in Obour City, where he was welcomed by university leaders.

Madbouly emphasized the Egyptian state’s strong support for university education, especially in establishing private universities equipped with the latest technological devices and infrastructure to match prestigious international universities. He highlighted that private universities offer modern academic programs aligned with labor market needs.

He pointed out a comprehensive state vision to make Egypt an attractive educational destination for students from various nationalities, with diverse languages of instruction and exporting knowledge abroad, stressing integration between public and private universities to provide an advanced educational experience.

Minister of Higher Education Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour noted the expansion in establishing new universities, supported by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to accommodate increasing demand and improve educational quality, confirming that private universities provide modern intermediate programs equipped with the latest educational technologies, contributing to preparing graduates capable of supporting local industry and the national economy.

Dr. Gamal El-Saeed, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Benha Private University, explained that the university is located on 40 acres in Obour City, Qalyubia Governorate, comprising 9 faculties including Medicine, Dentistry, Physical Therapy, Engineering, Economics and Business Administration, Computer Science, Visual Arts and Design, Veterinary Medicine, and Energy Sciences, offering 26 advanced academic programs designed according to the latest global systems while preserving Egyptian national identity.

University President Dr. Tamer Samir stated that the campus is designed according to the latest global specifications to be a fourth-generation smart university, providing a modern educational environment encouraging creativity and applied scientific research. It includes 10 main buildings: administrative, academic buildings with high-level classrooms and specialized labs, a central labs building equipped with the latest devices, engineering and applied workshops, recreational area, sports complex, Roman theater, and a central library with the latest digital and printed resources.

Madbouly and his entourage toured the engineering faculty labs, viewing models of robots specialized in detecting explosives to support civil protection, a robot for cleaning tanks from impurities, and a miniature simulation of a robot-based manufacturing production line. He also engaged in a friendly dialogue with a student about the devices she was working on.

Dr. Tamer Samir affirmed that Benha Private University places students at the heart of the educational process, aiming to graduate innovative youth capable of facing contemporary challenges, making the university a beacon of knowledge, creativity, and academic excellence in Egypt and the region.

During his visit to modern lecture halls, Madbouly spoke with students in the Physical Therapy lecture hall, emphasizing his keenness to listen to their opinions about private universities as a new model of higher education that combines high quality with affordable costs for middle-income families, noting the great demand for these universities due to their distinguished programs.

Students confirmed that the university listens to their opinions, develops their skills and personalities, provides high-quality education, and employs highly qualified faculty using modern teaching methods.

At the end of his visit, the Prime Minister directed the Minister of Higher Education to study establishing a specialization in jewelry and ornament manufacturing at Benha University or a specialized technological university to accommodate creative graduates from the “Egypt Gold” school. Dr. Nasser El-Gezawy, President of Benha University, stated that a similar program is already being prepared to serve jewelry manufacturing school graduates.
