The ‘Jordan National Trail March 2025’ event kicked off today, Friday, October 10, organized by the Jordan Trail Association for the eighth consecutive year, amid an atmosphere filled with adventure and nature lovers.

The march spans 43 days from Umm Qais in the north to Aqaba in the south, covering 675 kilometers and passing through 75 Jordanian villages. It attracts adventurers and hiking enthusiasts from Jordan and around the world, participating either in the full trail or selected sections, as well as weekend and single-day trips.

Since its inception in 2017, more than 1,500 adventurers from 40 nationalities have participated, making it one of the most prominent adventure tourism events in the region. The Jordan Trail Association aims to promote sustainable national tourism and enhance Jordan’s status as a global adventure destination, in addition to supporting local communities by providing over 580 direct job opportunities for residents of villages along the trail.

This year’s event is held in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Tourism Promotion Authority, and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, supported by the private sector represented by Joramco Company (gold sponsor), Ayla Oasis Aqaba, and Al-Markazia Toyota (silver sponsors), alongside Radio Hala and Plus FM as media partners.

The Jordan National Trail enjoys royal patronage and attention from His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, in line with the economic modernization vision that places “making Jordan a global destination” among the key drivers of national economic growth. His Majesty awarded the association the King Abdullah II Award of Excellence, second class, in 2018 in recognition of its role in supporting tourism and the national economy.

It is noteworthy that the Jordan Trail was selected by National Geographic as one of the world’s best destinations in 2018, won the World Travel Award in London the same year, and was recently listed by Lonely Planet among the best tourist destinations for 2025, remaining a national symbol embodying the beauty of Jordan’s nature, the richness of its culture, and the diversity of its adventures from north to south.
