Gold prices in the local Egyptian market stabilized on the evening of Friday, October 10, 2025, maintaining previous levels amid calm buying and selling activity. The 21-carat gold, the most traded purity, recorded approximately 5335 Egyptian pounds per gram, while the gold pound price reached 42,680 EGP.

Other carat prices were as follows: 24-carat at 6097.25 EGP, 22-carat at about 5589 EGP, 18-carat at 4572.75 EGP, and 14-carat at around 3556.75 EGP.

Globally, gold continued its strong performance, maintaining gains near the $4,000 per ounce level, marking its eighth consecutive weekly increase. This rise is supported by increased demand for the precious metal as a safe haven amid geopolitical tensions, alongside expectations of further cuts in US interest rates.

Spot transactions recorded $3974.99 per ounce, while US December futures rose 0.3% to reach $3985.8.
