Artist Sabry Abdel Monem told Youm7 that his health condition is reassuring, with his heart muscle functioning at an efficiency of over 50%, and he is, thank God, in good health.

Sabry Abdel Monem noted that he is grateful in all circumstances, born in the mid-1940s and has always been athletic. He mentioned witnessing the king on Army Street and having lived through the presidencies of Gamal Abdel Nasser, Anwar Sadat, and Hosni Mubarak, expressing his wish to meet President El-Sisi.

He added, “Thank God, I have maintained my health and activity so far, thanks to God, but there are some problems with the coronary artery that required the installation of stents and a device to regulate heartbeats.”

Youm7 honored the veteran artist Sabry Abdel Monem at his home, celebrating his long artistic career. He gave a televised interview to Youm7 where he spoke about many details including his artistic and family life, his lineage from the Ashraf, and his marriage to the daughter of the late esteemed artist Abdel Monem Ibrahim.

Recently, Sabry Abdel Monem expressed his great happiness in a special statement to Youm7 about his recent honor at the 8th session of the Actors’ Syndicate Theater Festival, describing the recognition as “a very nice thing” for him.

The veteran artist is considered one of the most prominent stars of art in Egypt, having presented dozens of cinematic and television works throughout his long artistic career, which makes his followers keen to follow his health updates.

His last appearance was in Ramadan drama during “Beit El Rifai” starring Amir Karara, aired in 2024. Sabry Abdel Monem played the role of a factory owner who has a good relationship with the lead actor Amir Karara.
