Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov announced on Thursday that Moscow has not yet received an official response from the United States regarding President Vladimir Putin’s proposal to extend the commitments under the new START treaty on strategic nuclear arms reduction.
During a press conference, Ryabkov said, “Russia remains open to dialogue on this important issue. Moscow is still waiting for the American response in order to maintain global strategic stability and is ready to continue consultations once a clear reply is received from Washington.”
