Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, honored a select group of pioneers in the UAE healthcare sector who won the Health Awards 2025 during a ceremony held at the Grand Hyatt Dubai, attended by numerous professionals, policymakers, and innovators.

During the event, 78 healthcare professionals were recognized across 60 competitive categories including patient care, scientific research, education, technology, and social impact, in the presence of over 700 healthcare talents. Dr. Thumbi Mohideen, founder and publisher of “Health Magazine,” also attended the ceremony.

In his speech, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak said: “I am pleased to be with you this morning at the Health Awards 2025 ceremony honoring some of the most accomplished and dedicated professionals in healthcare. We are grateful to Dr. Thumbi Mohideen and his team at Thumbi Media for efficiently organizing this important celebration, and we appreciate the winners whose humanity, talents, and skills inspire us.”

He thanked everyone for advancing healthcare excellence, a complex and rapidly evolving sector where the quality of care often determines not just a healthy life but life itself.

He added: “These awards not only recognize achievements in health and medicine but embody the core values of dedication, commitment, excellence, and serve as inspiration for current and future generations of healthcare professionals. I endorse the principle at their heart: that people’s health is the foundation of a successful society, and excellence in this field leaves a profound impact on our lives. There is no greater national wealth than a healthy population.”

He continued: “As in previous editions, the fifth edition held here in Dubai reflects the UAE’s steadfast commitment to raising healthcare standards and adopting best practices across medical fields. The wide diversity of winners, both citizens and residents, embodies the strength of our healthcare system and the robustness of its partnerships.”

He confirmed that under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and with the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, the UAE has built a global healthcare system that responds to the needs of individuals and society alike.

Thanks to this, people trust that they receive the highest standards of care and are empowered to make wise decisions about their health. In this context, we celebrate today our winners who have made qualitative contributions to community wellbeing, each showing initiative in the pursuit of excellence and a record full of achievements.

He said: “I congratulate all the winners and wish you further success. Perseverance and striving to reach one’s full potential are essential elements that give life meaning. Through your work, we celebrate the brilliance of the human spirit—its resilience, focus, and creative strength. Once again, congratulations to all and best wishes to each of you.”
