Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, leader of the Houthi movement, announced on Thursday that “Ansar Allah” will closely monitor whether the ceasefire agreement between the occupation and Hamas will actually be implemented before stopping their operations against the occupation.
Al-Houthi said they will remain fully alert, ready, and carefully monitoring the implementation phase of this agreement.
He questioned whether this agreement will truly lead to ending the aggression on the Gaza Strip, which was their original goal in supporting Gaza.
He added, “We must maintain the highest levels of caution and readiness, and continue our tremendous momentum.”
On Wednesday, the Houthi group revealed the toll of martyrs who fell in the Israeli aggression and US-British strikes since declaring “Support for Gaza” in October 2023.
The Ministry of Health and Environment of the Houthi government (unrecognized) in Sanaa stated in a statement that the number of civilian victims of the Israeli-American-British aggression who arrived at hospitals and health facilities since the start of supporting Gaza until October reached “1,676 martyrs and wounded,” according to the Saba agency run by the group.
The statement said the number of dead (martyrs) reached 319 citizens, including 38 children and 23 women, while the number of wounded reached 1,357 citizens, including 197 children and 96 women.
The group pointed out that the strikes targeted several health facilities, destroying three completely and four partially.
Since October 2023, the Houthis have launched attacks with drones and ballistic missiles on Israel, alongside attacks in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait against ships the group claims are Israeli or heading to Israel.
Following the naval attacks, the US and UK launched a military operation on January 12, 2025, including air raids and missile strikes against Houthi targets in their controlled areas in Yemen, before stopping in May.
The Ansar Allah group continues to carry out missile strikes towards Israeli targets as part of the “Support Gaza” battle, while the Israeli Air Force carries out strikes on Houthi targets, the strongest of which was the bombing of the Houthi government meeting headquarters in Sanaa on August 28.
This Israeli operation caused the martyrdom of the Houthi government head, Ahmed al-Rahwi, and several ministers including Foreign Minister Jamal Amer.
