The Institutional Excellence Award “Tamayuz” announced the launch of the second cycle guide during an extensive workshop attended by excellence teams from participating entities. This step reflects the award’s commitment to establishing a culture of institutional excellence and enhancing positive competitiveness among entities, contributing to the development of both institutional and functional performance.
The workshop included a comprehensive explanation of the updated guide contents, focusing on the most prominent changes to the evaluation criteria and participation mechanisms in the second cycle. This was in response to continuous development requirements and keeping pace with the best global practices, ensuring participating institutions have a more efficient work environment capable of adapting to future challenges.
More than 50 employees from representatives of entities and institutions attended the workshop.
The guide launch represents a strategic step towards achieving the award’s main objectives, which include raising institutional efficiency and developing services, enhancing customer and employee happiness, and building qualified human capabilities that meet future needs. It also highlights key areas such as governance, digital transformation, environmental and community practices, alongside functional excellence categories reflecting the vital role of human cadres in supporting institutional development. The award includes several categories divided into two main tracks: institutional excellence and functional excellence. On the institutional level, the award continued with the category of the best entity in applying governance systems, the best entity in applying distinguished practices in various fields such as best practices in digital transformation, best practices in environmental sustainability, among others, in addition to the best entity in customer and employee happiness results and mystery shopper.
The award also includes functional excellence categories to honor distinguished employees within five categories: best supervisory, administrative, specialized, innovative, and new employee. The award developed the evaluation system by introducing a special evaluation procedure for each category.
Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansoori, the award director, said: “The launch of the guide represents a continuation of the award’s journey in supporting the development of institutional performance for participating entities, providing a practical reference that enhances institutions’ ability to adopt clear and updated standards reflecting the best global practices.”
Mona Al Ghaoui, the award’s general coordinator, confirmed that the guide reflects qualitative transformations in evaluation criteria, explaining that the workshop accompanying the guide launch represents a main platform to enable excellence teams to deeply understand those requirements and apply them effectively.
