Following US President Donald Trump’s announcement of reaching an agreement between Hamas and Israel regarding the first phase of his peace plan in Gaza, Hamas called on Trump, the guaranteeing countries of the agreement, and various Arab, Islamic, and international parties to compel the Israeli occupation government to fully implement the agreement obligations and not allow it to evade or delay the agreed terms.

In an official statement, Hamas said: “After responsible and serious negotiations conducted by the movement and Palestinian resistance factions regarding President Trump’s proposal in Sharm El-Sheikh, aiming to end the extermination war on our Palestinian people and the withdrawal of the occupation from Gaza; the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) announces reaching an agreement to end the war on Gaza, withdraw the occupation, allow aid entry, and exchange prisoners.”

The statement highly appreciated the efforts of mediators in Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, and also “we value the efforts of US President Donald Trump seeking to permanently end the war and achieve a full withdrawal of the occupation from Gaza.”

The statement added that “the sacrifices of our people will not be in vain, and we will remain committed to our pledge, never abandoning our people’s national rights including freedom, independence, and self-determination.”
