US President Donald Trump announced today that Israel and Hamas have reached an agreement on the first phase of the peace plan, describing it as a “great day” for the region and the world.

Trump said in an official statement published on the “Truth Social” platform: “I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of our peace plan. This means that all hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw its forces to agreed lines, as a first step towards a strong, lasting, and eternal peace.”

He added: “All parties will be treated fairly. It is a great day for the Arab and Islamic world, for Israel, for all countries in the region, and for the United States of America.”

Trump also thanked the mediators from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, praising their role in achieving this “historic and unprecedented” event.
