Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he spoke by phone with U.S. President Donald Trump, congratulating each other on the historic achievement of signing the agreement in Sharm El-Sheikh. Netanyahu also invited President Trump to deliver a speech before the Israeli Knesset.

Successful mediation efforts by Egypt, with the participation of Qatar, the United States, and Turkey, led to an agreement on the mechanisms for implementing the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza between Hamas and Israel, following serious and marathon negotiations that resulted in a preliminary agreement to stop the war.

Hamas announced reaching an agreement to end the war on Gaza, the withdrawal of the occupation from Gaza, the entry of aid, and prisoner exchanges. This was after responsible and serious negotiations conducted by Hamas and Palestinian resistance factions based on President Trump’s proposal in Sharm El-Sheikh, aiming to stop the extermination war on the Palestinian people and the withdrawal of the occupation from Gaza.

Hamas expressed high appreciation for the efforts of the mediators in Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, and also praised the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump seeking to end the war permanently and the full withdrawal of the occupation from Gaza.

In its statement, Hamas called on President Donald Trump, the guarantor countries of the agreement, and various Arab, Islamic, and international parties to oblige the Israeli occupation government to fully implement the agreement’s provisions and not allow it to evade or delay the application of what was agreed upon.
