President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed a study to allow university students to live for a week inside the Military Academy and Police Academy to enhance the spirit of belonging and national integration.

This morning, the President attended the Police Academy’s Graduates Day 2025 celebration. Upon arrival, he greeted the graduates’ families and was welcomed by Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of Interior, and Major General Dr. Nidal Youssef, Assistant Minister of Interior and President of the Police Academy.

The celebration included sports demonstrations showcasing physical fitness and self-defense skills, combat training displays, police cavalry shows, police vehicles, special task forces equipment, a general military parade, command handover ceremonies, and the oath of allegiance.

The President awarded the second-class Excellence Medal to top graduates from the Police College, foreign students, law degree holders, female graduates in physical education, specialized officer students, postgraduate students, and foreign students at the Police Research Center. Minister of Interior Mahmoud Tawfiq also delivered a speech, and the President concluded with a speech emphasizing gratitude for the safety and peace in Egypt and congratulated the Police Academy on its 50th anniversary.

The President called on the Police Academy and the Egyptian Military Academy to study the possibility of allowing Egyptian university students to live alongside police and military personnel for a week or more to foster brotherhood and improve performance.

He saluted the families who have offered their children to serve the nation and addressed the graduates, reminding them of their great responsibility to protect the nation’s security and be role models for the people, wishing them success.

The President reassured the Egyptian people about internal and external situations, noting that despite the difficult regional phase, Egypt is progressing well thanks to God and the great Egyptian people. Since 2013, Egypt has faced harsh conditions and violent terrorism but has defeated terrorism and overcome challenges thanks to the army, police, and concerned agencies.

He stressed that no threat should worry Egyptians as long as they remain united, urging them to maintain cohesion, and affirmed that patience and resilience are key to overcoming any crisis.

Regarding the economy, the President noted continuous improvement in indicators, acknowledging that no country is free from challenges, and emphasized the youth’s role in positive change, reaffirming Egypt’s noticeable economic progress despite surrounding circumstances.

On the external front, he mentioned the two-year anniversary of the Gaza war, describing it as a harsh conflict affecting the region, especially Gaza. He affirmed Egypt’s consistent positive engagement with the Palestinian cause and its significant efforts, noting that Sharm El-Sheikh currently hosts negotiations aimed at ending the war.

The President expressed deep appreciation and respect for President Trump’s genuine will to end the war and affirmed Egypt’s support for all efforts to find a solution. He explained that a delegation from the United States arrived yesterday to meet with delegations from Egypt, Qatar, Israel, and Hamas as part of this negotiation round to stop the war in Gaza, emphasizing the American envoys brought a clear message from President Trump to end the war during this round and stressed the importance of seizing this opportunity.

He addressed President Trump, urging him to continue his support and will to end the war and invited him, if an agreement is reached, to come to Egypt to sign the ceasefire agreement, especially given the world’s interest in ending the war, delivering aid, releasing hostages, and starting reconstruction for the benefit of Gaza and the Palestinian people in the West Bank. The President expressed his great pride in President Trump and his strong will in sending envoys with a clear mandate to end the war, wishing everyone success.

In a message to the Egyptian people, the President extended thanks and appreciation, describing them as a noble and generous people, affirming that the future is better by God’s will, and that no one can harm Egypt as long as Egyptians are united.

After the President’s speech, the “Martyr’s Salute” and the national anthem of Egypt were played. Following the celebration, the President shared breakfast with senior guests and discussed developments in internal and regional affairs.
