UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah affirmed their countries’ support for all initiatives and efforts aimed at a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and establishing comprehensive and just peace based on the two-state solution, as the path to achieving stability in the region for the benefit of all its peoples and countries.

This came during their meeting on Wednesday, as part of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed’s visit to Kuwait, where they discussed a number of regional and international issues and developments, foremost among them the latest situation in the Middle East, stressing the need to build on the recently increasing international recognition of the State of Palestine to achieve the aspirations of the brotherly Palestinian people for peace and stability, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

They also discussed fraternal relations and various aspects of cooperation and joint work and their development levels, especially in developmental and economic fields, serving the mutual interests of the two countries and bringing prosperity and growth to their peoples, in addition to discussing the course of joint Gulf work.

The UAE President and Kuwaiti Emir confirmed their countries’ keenness to support everything that would enhance the Gulf Cooperation Council’s march, achieving the aspirations of its peoples for development and prosperity.
