Engineer Hazem El-Gendy, member of the Egyptian Senate, affirmed that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s praise during the graduation ceremony of a new batch of Police Academy students for the efforts made by former US President Donald Trump to end the war and his invitation to visit Egypt reflect an Egyptian desire to expand the circle of international cooperation to achieve comprehensive peace that guarantees the rights of the Palestinian people and stops the bloodshed.
El-Gendy said that the President’s reference to the Gaza war and describing it as a “very harsh war affecting the region” reflects Egypt’s realistic vision of the humanitarian disaster that Gaza has been suffering for two years. He confirmed that Egypt, as the President said, has not stopped for a moment its political and humanitarian efforts to stop the fighting and deliver aid, embodying its position as a pillar of stability in the Middle East.
The Senate member added that President Sisi sent several profound messages related to domestic affairs during his speech, the first of which was a message of thanks and appreciation to the police officers and their families on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the academy’s establishment. This occasion confirms that Egypt honors its sons who protect its internal security and sacrifice for its stability. The President did not stop at praise but proposed a new vision to build a comprehensive national awareness by calling for an initiative allowing university students to spend a period of immersion within military and police academies to enhance the spirit of belonging and communication between state institutions.
MP Hazem El-Gendy pointed out that this invitation represents an unprecedented enlightened idea, aiming to integrate civilian and military youth in one environment of discipline and responsibility, contributing to creating a new generation that understands the meaning of the state and the concept of sacrifice for it. He stressed that the President’s talk about the improvement of the Egyptian economy and his affirmation that “every day is better than the previous one” reflects confidence in the reform path followed by the state despite global crises, as well as a new national document confirming that the Egyptian state is on the right path towards stability and development and is capable of overcoming all challenges thanks to the unity of the people and the strength of its institutions.
