The “Saudi University Graduates Forum in the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Surrounding Countries” and its accompanying exhibition, supervised by the Ministry of Education and organized by King Khalid University in cooperation with Tabuk University and Najran University, have launched in the Nigerian capital Abuja. The event was attended by Nigeria’s Minister of State for Education, Dr. Suiba Saidu Ahmed, and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Saudi Embassy in Abuja, Saad bin Fahd Al-Murri.

The Nigerian Minister of State for Education expressed her appreciation and gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its continuous support to international students through scholarship programs that provide learning opportunities and knowledge exchange in Saudi universities. She praised the Kingdom’s distinguished efforts in serving education regionally and internationally.

She also thanked the forum organizers for their efforts in ensuring the success of the event, affirming that these initiatives contribute to enhancing academic and research cooperation between the two countries and open wider horizons for joint scientific and knowledge exchange.

Al-Murri confirmed that the qualitative development witnessed in education in the Kingdom reflects the leadership’s keenness to build a globally pioneering educational system capable of keeping pace with scientific and technological developments and enhancing the Kingdom’s position in international academic forums. He highlighted the importance of activating the “Study in Saudi” platform to attract international students and enable Saudi universities to fulfill their scientific mission in spreading knowledge and education and building bridges of academic and cultural cooperation with countries around the world.

He pointed out that the Ministry of Education works on preparing and qualifying scientific competencies capable of contributing to the development journey in their countries after returning, transferring the skills and experiences they acquired during their studies in the Kingdom across various scientific and research fields.

The forum will hold six scientific sessions over three days, with the participation of 21 speakers in the fields of education and scientific research, in addition to more than 400 participants from Saudi university graduates from Nigeria and neighboring countries.
