The Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday its rejection of any statements denying the possibility of reaching a two-state solution and establishing an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international law and United Nations resolutions.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said during a press conference: “Russia considers any statements denying the possibility of an independent Palestinian state according to UN resolutions and based on the two-state solution as unacceptable.
