Cement prices stabilized today, Thursday, October 2, 2025, in the markets after a price increase of about 200 Egyptian pounds per ton. The average price per ton reached 3,820 Egyptian pounds delivered at the factory gate, with a selling price of 4,000 pounds amid expectations of price movements in the coming period.

Cement is widely available in the Egyptian market, which helps maintain its prices across markets and various distributors, with expectations that cement prices will remain stable or slightly increase. Cement is considered the backbone of building materials and is indispensable in all projects.

Ahmed El-Zeiny, Head of the Building Materials Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, revealed that cement prices stabilized after increases ranging from 50 to 200 pounds per ton in the markets, depending on the companies and product types for consumers.

Cement prices have witnessed stability after previous increases ranging from 50 to 200 pounds.

Egypt’s cement exports increased over the last three years from $465 million in 2021 to $670 million in 2022, a growth rate of 44%, then to $770 million in 2023, a 14% increase, and to $780 million in the first 10 months of 2024, a 12% growth. The number of countries importing Egyptian cement reached 95 worldwide, according to the Export Council for Building Materials, with African countries leading the importers.

Cement is abundantly available in the Egyptian market, helping to maintain prices among distributors with expectations of price stability after the recent increase.

Meanwhile, Egypt’s cement production rose to 25.39 million tons from January to July 2024 compared to 23.3 million tons during the same period in 2023, an increase of 2.091 million tons, according to data from the Central Bank of Egypt.
