The Law on the Regulation of Youth Organizations defines the resources and funds of youth organizations. Article 29 of the law states that the resources of a youth organization consist of:

    • Subscriptions and donations from members, and various types of membership fees.
    • Revenues from parties, matches, sponsorship contracts, advertisements, broadcasting, and all types of activities.
    • Income from renting stadiums, shops, halls, and any other facilities.
    • Fees for player transfers and loans.
    • Marketing the organization’s name, logo, and uniforms.
    • Donations, gifts, wills, and grants provided by natural or legal persons within the Arab Republic of Egypt, subject to the approval of the competent administrative authority.
    • Returns from investing the organization’s funds.
    • Other revenues approved by the competent administrative authority.

Article 30 stipulates that each youth organization must have a budget for a fiscal year starting from July 1 and ending on June 30 of each year. If its expenses or revenues exceed fifty thousand Egyptian pounds, the board of directors must present the financial position and final accounts to a licensed legal accountant for auditing and reporting before the annual general assembly meeting, at least one month prior.

The youth organization must deposit its cash funds under its registered name at a national bank subject to the supervision of the Central Bank, and notify the competent administrative authority accordingly. The organization must also notify the central administrative authority within thirty days of any bank change.
