New York, September 28 /BNA/ Belarus Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov held a meeting with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, where the two sides discussed international security and sustainable development issues.
Both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening the role of the United Nations in addressing global challenges and the necessity of collective decisions to confront current crises.
The Belarusian minister expressed his country’s readiness to contribute to international efforts within the framework of multilateral cooperation, praising Guterres’ support for Belarus’ initiatives to combat human trafficking and achieve sustainable development goals.
