The Israeli occupation army stated that its forces under the Southern Command continue, under the guidance of military intelligence and the General Security Service (Shabak), to carry out attacks against what it called “terrorist organizations” throughout the Gaza Strip.

It added in a statement that forces belonging to Brigade 7, part of the 36th Division, destroyed buildings alleged to be used for monitoring army forces.

It claimed that an Air Force plane “eliminated several militants who planted explosive devices in the area and were monitoring the forces.”

It mentioned that “one of the militants fired mortar shells at the 98th Division forces operating in Gaza City,” but the army claimed no injuries occurred, and said that “when the forces closed the area, the militant was eliminated and the mortar shell was destroyed,” according to its claim.

It confirmed that the 162nd Division forces continue their operations in Gaza City, having eliminated militants and neutralized explosive devices aimed at targeting the army forces, according to its claim.
