The Border Security Sector of the Ministry of Interior, in coordination with relevant authorities, continued its efforts to tighten security control over all customs ports to combat smuggling crimes and violations of customs procedures in all forms.
During 24 hours, the efforts of the general departments affiliated with the Border Security Sector of the Ministry of Interior, in coordination with all concerned authorities, resulted in several positive outcomes, including the following:
- Seizure of a case related to combating smuggling of goods through customs ports.
- Seizure of two cases related to combating smuggling and possession of narcotic drugs and medicinal pills.
- Seizure of 3,111 various traffic violations.
- Seizure of 66 public security cases.
- Execution of 226 various judgments.
- Seizure of a case related to combating document forgery crimes.
Legal procedures were taken and the cases were referred to the Public Prosecution for investigation. Security campaigns continue at all ports across the republic to tighten security control.
