Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that the United States has adopted illogical behavior towards his country’s efforts to reach a fair solution to the nuclear issue.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the European troika’s announcement to activate the “trigger mechanism” suffers from legal and procedural flaws and is considered null and void. Meanwhile, France, Britain, and Germany affirmed their commitment to preventing Iran from possessing or developing nuclear weapons. The statement from the three countries described the activation of the “trigger mechanism” as a last resort to give Iran the opportunity to address concerns about its nuclear program.
