Engineer Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Sisi Al-Buainain, Secretary-General of the Council of Representatives and Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Bloc, confirmed that meetings and engagements with the brothers in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, and the activation of parliamentary diplomacy with brothers and friends at all levels and fields, receive great attention and special care from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the esteemed King of Bahrain, may God protect and preserve him. They also receive continuous follow-up from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him.
This came during the Secretary-General’s chairing of a new coordination meeting yesterday for the organizing committee tasked with preparations related to the 19th regular meeting of the heads of the Gulf legislative councils (Shura, Representatives, National, and Ummah) in the GCC countries, which the Parliamentary Bloc of the Kingdom of Bahrain will host from November 11 to 14, 2025.
The Secretary-General pointed out that this prestigious Gulf meeting, along with other regional and international parliamentary events hosted by Bahrain’s Parliamentary Bloc, highlights its distinguished position in supporting the course of Gulf, regional, and international parliamentary cooperation. It also reflects the great confidence it enjoys regionally in its organizational and administrative capabilities and institutional efficiency in managing major parliamentary events with precision and professionalism, in line with the GCC countries’ aspirations to enhance frameworks for coordination and joint legislative and parliamentary integration.
The Secretary-General confirmed the full readiness of Bahrain’s Parliamentary Bloc, under the directives of Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Bloc, and in coordination with Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, esteemed Speaker of the Shura Council, to implement the final steps of the work plan to host this prominent Gulf event. This includes logistical, organizational, media, and technical procedures, and coordination with all relevant national bodies to ensure the completion of all preparations according to the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
During the meeting, the latest updates on preparations and final arrangements were reviewed, including the agenda and accompanying activities. Technical arrangements, media, and organizational plans were approved. The meeting also witnessed the distribution of joint working teams between the General Secretariat of the Council of Representatives and the General Secretariat of the Shura Council, working together as one team to highlight this Gulf meeting, ensuring the smooth and efficient progress of the organizational process to achieve national goals.
