A specialized training course titled “Assessment and Management of Advanced Cases” was held at Hama National Hospital, organized by the Hama Health Directorate in cooperation with the organization “Action for Humanity.”
The course was attended by 30 doctors and residents from various medical specialties, aiming to develop their skills and capabilities in handling critical and complex cases.
Ayman Al-Jaddi, one of the founding trustees of the organization, told SANA’s correspondent that the course is part of the “Recovery” campaign to enhance doctors’ abilities in dealing with emergency cases, noting that similar courses will soon be held in Homs Governorate, with plans to expand the courses to maximize benefits for doctors.
Intensive care consultant for children and course instructor, Tarek Al-Hazwani, pointed out that the course relies on realistic simulation of critical medical cases, reflecting real medical situations and ensuring active interaction from trainees.
Neurosurgeon and course participant, Hammam Hammoud, noted that the course is distinguished by its intensive scientific atmosphere and participation of doctors from various parts of the world, transferring European medical expertise to the Syrian reality, including training on cardiopulmonary resuscitation and dealing with trauma patients according to European standards.
The course represents a practical example of joint efforts between the health sector and humanitarian organizations to develop the medical work environment and face medical challenges in Syria.
