His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, met with his brother, the President of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to discuss the fraternal relations and various paths of cooperation and joint work between the two countries, and ways to develop them, especially in economic, commercial, and developmental fields, serving their common interests and enhancing development priorities in both countries.
The meeting took place at Al-Ittihadia Palace in Cairo during His Highness’s fraternal visit to Egypt.
The two sides also discussed a number of regional and international issues and exchanged views on them, foremost among which were the developments in the Middle East region and the importance of building on the momentum of the recognitions of the Palestinian state witnessed recently by many countries worldwide. They affirmed in this context that the “two-state solution” is the only path to achieve comprehensive and lasting peace, and to enhance the causes of regional stability and security in the interest of all countries and peoples of the region.
Both sides expressed their support for all efforts and initiatives aimed at ceasing fire in the Gaza Strip and finding a permanent settlement to the crisis.
His Highness and the Egyptian President also stressed the urgent need to strengthen joint Arab action amid unprecedented regional circumstances and challenges to ensure the security and stability of the region and achieve sustainable prosperity for its peoples.
The meeting was attended by the accompanying delegation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during the visit, including His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President, and a number of ministers and senior officials in the UAE.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi was among the first to receive His Highness and the accompanying delegation at Cairo International Airport.
The Egyptian President welcomed His Highness during a short rest at the VIP lounge at the airport, exchanging friendly talks reflecting the depth of the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and their mutual keenness to continue strengthening them.
