The Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump to end the war in the Gaza Strip, which included the release of hostages and detainees and the flow of humanitarian aid.

Manama described the “Trump Plan” as a positive initiative to achieve security and peace in the region, calling for the concerted efforts of the international community and the commitment of all parties to support these peaceful efforts to end the war and alleviate the suffering of Gaza’s residents.

Saudi Arabia and other Arab and Islamic countries praised President Trump’s plan, which consists of twenty points approved by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The key elements include Gaza being disarmed and governed by a Palestinian committee with international experts, excluding any role for Hamas. The main points summarize Gaza as an area free of “extremism and terrorism” and posing “no threat to its neighbors.”

Additionally, Gaza’s redevelopment “for the benefit of its residents” is included, and once both parties agree, the war ends immediately with full aid sent to Gaza. The aid includes rehabilitating infrastructure, hospitals, bakeries, and bringing in equipment needed to clear rubble and open roads.

Meanwhile, the U.S. President described the announcement, which he had previously prepared for, as a “historic day for peace in the Middle East.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intends to support President Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza, as he claims.

Netanyahu said at a joint press conference with the U.S. President at the White House, “I support your plan to end the war in Gaza, which achieves our war objectives. It will return all our captives to Israel, dismantle Hamas’s military capabilities, end its political rule, and ensure Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel.”
